Demir - Guitar, Bass, Piano, Band Coach
A native of the D.C.-area, Demir has been playing music for over 20 years. Though initially starting on the piano at age 5, it wasn’t until he began playing guitar at age 13 that he found his true musical calling. During these formative years Demir began developing his own style which drew from influences ranging from Jazz and Classical to Hardcore/Punk and Heavy Metal. From 2010-2014 he attended the prestigious Berklee College Of Music where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition.
With over a decade of live playing experience, Demir has seen and done it all. He has played in a diverse array of groups which range from Jazz Quartets and Classical Chamber Ensembles to Punk and Extreme Metal Bands. These experiences have seen him perform in venues which include everything from large concert halls to DIY-basement shows, in cities ranging from his hometown of Washington D.C. to Istanbul.
Demir intends to share his experience and expertise with all of his students and hopes to inspire the same passion for music in them as that which has possessed him since the age of 5.
